2010 Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus is a trusted name which made its debut to much fanfare in 1985 (as a 1986 model). The launch of Ford Taurus was perhaps a risky step of Ford. Ford Taurus was not only Ford's first big foray into midsize front-wheel-drive cars but also its style was like excellent. It was the time, when crisply folded lines were the norm and the "soft" styling was decidedly different and that could be a risk for Ford. Ford Taurus was completely different and even some pundits declared that it would prove to be an outright sales disaster.
Like with the original Taurus, Ford stylists make it with unique style and gave it a soft look. Its front fenders are pronounced with headlamps and markers that wrap around the flanks. A deeply chiseled character line runs beginning from the wheel arch to the end of the back door. This was completely a new thing in the car designs and was also very stylish. Like the headlamps, the taillights swathe around the body sides. The deck lid fitted in a subtle hump and it looks like if there's a restrained spoiler built in. The roofline of the car is lowered and somewhat evocative of the first chiseled-look fastbacks Ford pioneered way back when in 1963. The most interesting thing is the wheel placement. The rolling stock is pushed to the edges of the body sides of the car and that provides the Taurus, a brawny, extremely capable and athletic look.
When you open the door, immediately you know this is really a driver's car. The bench seating feature is ejected from this car and instead of it the office is based upon a dual pod dash layout that recalls Mustang from almost every generation. The center stack slopes downward into an integrated console and creates an effective five-passenger sedan. The controls are logical and fall quickly into place. The shifter is offset toward the driver. There is a large high-tech ambient lit speedometer that is flanked by a large 7,000 rpm tachometer on the left and also got a combination temperature gauge-fuel gauge-gear indicator on the right. The front seats are deeply shore up and an integrated armrest on the center console together with a deeply sculpted door panel locks the driver firmly in place.
Ford Taurus got all standard SE-equipped cars feature like a six-way power, manual recline and lumbar driver seat. SEL models include several other features such as dual zone climate control, SIRIUS Satellite radio and an anti-theft perimeter alarm. In Limited Series models, the seats are made of perforated leather seating surfaces and 10-way power with integrated lumbar controls for both driver and passenger. In all models, the split folding rear seat is a three-passenger bench. Using Ford's newest (optional) signature Intelligent Access with Push Button Start arrangement brings the base engine to life.
